On Call Tours
ON CALL TORNADO TOURS
$275 - per person, per day (payment due before chase begins)
Are you wanting to go on a storm chase, but can't get the time off during the storm season for a tour? Well look no further, we are now offering on call tours! What is an "on call tour"? These are tours that will only be offered during the off tour season and will be only one or two days long depending on the forecasted event. Whenever the forecast look favorable for a severe weather event, you will be notified up to 48 hours ahead of time to fly into the forecasted city. We will find a hotel that gives a group rate, but you are responsible for booking the hotel room, this ensures that we can all meet up at the same location and quicker deployment to our target area if necessary. This information will be emailed to you during confirmation of the event.
THESE TOURS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE BETWEEN MARCH 23RD AND JULY 3RD!!
This is a pay-per-day on-call tour so you’ll only pay at the beginning of each day we are on tour, after the morning forecast meeting. There could be the possibility of a multi-day event (with a travel/down day(s) in between) so prepare for being out multiple days just in case.
If there is a down-day in between storm chases and we don’t need to travel, we can visit somewhere fun as long as it doesn’t put us out of position and rest for the next days chase, and as long as everyone agrees!
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma is the base city we will depart from. As always, we only chase if it’s worth it!
These tours have a high chance of seeing severe weather and tornadoes once we have established the forecast for the event. Although, due to the nature of evolving forecasts and events leading up to the chase day, we cannot guarantee severe weather in some cases. If the forecast starts to look unfavorable before the tour begins, we will refund or use as a credit for the next on call tour. If you are running late we cannot afford the time to wait so please make sure to get in with enough time to spare, we cannot refund you for any travel or hotel expenses if you miss the tour.
